Ceiling Fans

Ceiling fans can be a controversial topic. So, let’s dive in!

If you’re anything like my family, you love and hate them. We love the cool air circulation they provide and they tend to act as “white noise” in our bedrooms when we’re sleeping. But, geesh are they ugly. Ok, not all of them. I’m about to show you some really great ceiling fan choices. The good news is that they are continuously getting better! We now have what’s called a fandeleir which is a chandelier that hides fan blades when not in use, many options for fans without lights and some more modern styles for fans with lights.

1. Minka 52” Distressed Koa Wood Fan with Remote

I love this one because the shape of the blades makes it more stylish without losing the function of the fan itself. The tone of wood is beautiful and it doesn’t have lights. I know it’s a little scary to not have an overhead light, but I actually prefer this. While some overhead lighting is nice, you don’t need it in every space. You do not need overhead lighting in a bedroom or living room. Lamps can provide all the light you need.

2. Minka Pancake 52” Distressed Koa Ceiling Fan

Here’s another version of the previous mentioned style. Again, wood tone is nice, timeless style and serves the purpose of circulating air without being a complete eyesore.

3. Windspun Matte Black Natural Wood 52”

This fan is a nice choice if you like a lighter wood tone. The contrast is nice with the black body of the fan.

4. 54” Minka Brushed Brass Lighted Ceiling Fan

Okay, if you must have a light. This is a nice modern choice with brass and a simple globe light.

5. Brass Flowered Fan

This one is my favorite! I would love it as just a light fixture, so it’s a win win here with this one. This is what’s called a fandelier. It does have a fan, but the blades are hidden. Don’t expect to feel the same air as with a traditional fan because the blades are smaller and hidden behind a screen, but it does have a fan in there. Trust me.

6. Brass Fandelier

Here’s another really nice choice. The fan blades are totally hidden, so it’s more of a light fixture with the added benefit of the fan option.
