Obsessed with Americana Summer?

I’m an American through and through, but lately I haven’t felt proud of my country, which leaves me both angry and sad. This isn’t meant to be political, but I feel the need to share a bit about who I am while writing about heritage style. As we approach America’s 250th birthday, I long to feel unity with my fellow Americans. I want to fly our flag proudly and celebrate the wonderful things that make this country great. Our history is complex, and while I’m proud of the progress we’ve made, I’m also disappointed by the ways we’ve moved backward. That’s where I stand, though I rarely talk about it publicly since I’m a private person—and ultimately, you’re here for home décor inspiration, so I’ll stick to that.

Americana style embraces all things red, white, and blue—traditional, historical America. It carries you to another time, which is what I love most about it.
