5 Easy and Inexpensive Ways to Make your House Look Luxe

Luxury does not have to mean expensive. Here are some things you can do to make your home look high end.

  1. Add animal prints.

It doesn’t have to be wallpaper or anything drastic. A small detail will suffice. My favorite is to add an animal print rug or pillow. Fun Fact…Did you know that animal print is actually considered a neutral in the design world?

2. Hang drapery all the way to the ceiling.

Yes, it is slightly more expensive to purchase longer curtains. But you get a lot more bang for your buck when doing this! It makes your ceilings look taller and your room looks instantly more luxurious.

3. Add tassels.

Tassels are such a simple accessory you can add to your furniture, cabinets, lamps and doorknobs. You can even make them yourself. They can add a fun pop of color to your space too!

4. Add gold accents.

Gold has always been synonymous with luxury. Add a gold framed mirror, a picture frame, gold hardware or a gold tray or lamp. Be careful not to overdo it with the gold, but small hints here and there can add a warm, rich feel to your space.

5. Add fresh flowers.

Every space looks complete with fresh flowers in a vase. So, if you’re having guests and want your space to look put together and thoughtful have fresh flowers in the table or countertop.
